Reflections Through Water
My latest body of work featuring 7 original paintings inspired by the playful nature and intrinsic forms of water. I began this work on the banks of local rivers near my home in the Texas Hill Country. Drawing from their forms and the way the water flows. Using a diverse blue color palette I wove together shades of indigo, deep blue and soft teal. Through each painting I captured the feeling the water exuded. and the peace that washes over me when I’m near its edge.

Artist StatementAs an artist, I focus on weaving water into my work, captivated by the healing properties it contains, both as a necessity in life and the way it guides me as I paint with it.
I’m inspired by the ephemeral moments created within each painting and the way I can suspend time through the layers. They act as a dialogue, reflecting on places in nature, and personal experiences in my daily life.
I’m perpetually in search of something within the act of creation. To recapture memories, nurture dreams, and envision the future. My painting practice serves as my compass to uncover the unseen, allowing me to establish a connection with myself and others through the expressive language of art.
